Lingerie can make a superb gift for your partner. It is romantic and if purchased correctly, will show how much you truly care about your significant other. The number one rule when buying lingerie is to make sure you are buying something your partner will like. Do not buy something in a color or style that she would not normally wear. These will be represented by the traditional S, M, L, etc… Often women purchase undergarments in different sizes than their traditional clothing so make sure that this comes from a slip or another piece of lingerie. Women’s underwear sizes need to be taken directly from underwear as well. A size 10 in underwear will be gigantic on a woman who wears size 10 pants, so be careful. For panty hose it is best to know height and weight because different brands have different sizing methods. If this is not possible try to find a brand that is measured by clothing size.

Essentially you want to purchase the lingerie in exactly the right size, but if after researching you still can not get it quite right, think small. It is much better to buy something a size too small than too big. When your partner unwraps a well thought out purchase she will be pleased that you took the time to put thought into what she likes. Do not ruin this thought by handing her a gift that is too large. A piece of lingerie that is too small says that you see her as smaller than she actually is, while selecting one that is too large means you think she is a cow.
